From May 9 to 15, 2013 I went to Switzerland. I started by taking the overnight train from Graz, Austria to Zurich where I rented a car and drove to Lucerne. I enjoyed my explorations around Lake Lucerne as well as of the city of Lucerne before moving on to the famous resort town of Interlaken which was my home base for 4 days. While in Interlaken, I made two mountain visits: one to the Harder Kulm and one to the Jungfrau, part of the famous trio of mountains that are more than 4000 metres high: the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch. I also visited the historic towns of Brienz and Thun, went on an electric bicycle tour into the Lauterbrunnen Valley and visited the Ballenberg Open Air Museum. Finally, I explored the Swiss capital of Bern and spent one final day in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city.
